Wind-Heat

风热 Feng Re Lung system

A hot cold. It starts with a sore throat, a fever with only slight chills, a headache, thirst, and a cough, and the tongue tip is red. Wind-heat moves fast and goes for the throat and chest, so the formula is taken in the first day, not the third.

Wind is the delivery truck and heat is the package. A wind-cold brings chills and a runny nose; a wind-heat brings a sore throat and a fever. Same truck, different cargo, opposite treatment.

Important Note

A pattern is a picture, not a diagnosis. Most people carry two patterns at once, and the signs here are the classic ones, not a checklist. Use this page to recognize yourself, read a formula label with understanding, and ask a qualified practitioner a sharper question.
