Known in TCM as Ling Zhi (灵芝), this sweet, neutral herb enters the Heart, Lung, Liver, and Kidney. Traditionally, it tonifies Qi and nourishes Blood; calms the Spirit for insomnia, palpitations, and anxiety from Heart-Spleen deficiency, most often applied for insomnia, fatigue, and immune deficiency. Modern research has identified Beta-glucan among its active constituents.
